Dana was born and raised in St. Augustine.

“When I was a small child I enjoyed going with my mother to the salon. I appreciated a good stylist who listened and delivered. Making someone feel like a million bucks inside and out has great reward.”

I've been a stylist since 1994. My best friend as a child said I was going to be a singing hairdresser. At lease half of that statement was correct. I am married to Guy Lavoie a supportive and amazing man .Together we share two children Cole (16) and Sam (21).

After I receiving a Cosmo. license, I took every opportunity to advance my education.

Some of the professional paths I have attended are Loreal Color Educator Training, Redken colorist, Toni and Guy Academy in Texas, Annual Advanced Education, Arrojo Academy NewYork and Paul Mitchell Academy. I’m also invloved with the Board of Cosmetology in Florida.

I pride myself in the skill of finding a style and color to compliment the skin tone and eyes, creating an optical illusion of the perfect face shape. Giving people a color and style that works for their lifestyle and their own styling capabilities keeps my clients coming back on a regular and sending their friends.

I also enjoy using a straight blade razor for most hair types. I love directional texturizing and enhancing the natural texture that most people don't know they have.

Coloring hair is my passion—from helping someone grow out the grey color to lightening a dark brunette to taking someone to the platinum blonde they've always dreamed of.

My hobbies include: sailing, exercising, cooking, the beach, and spending time with the family.

Meet Theodora, a Greek American from New York, living in St. Augustine. Theodora has been behind he chair since 2017. She began her career with Mane de LeonSalon as Receptionist/ Salon Manager in 2012. Deciding to follow her creative soul, she graduated cosmetology school then became apprentice and has worked her way to a busy full time stylist.Theodoras adored mentor, Dana Mickler has guided her since the start of her career. Today she is an amazing Hairstylist. The best part about work is listening and getting to know her guest. She creates beautiful transformations. The integrity and health of your hair should always come first. Starting with that type of canvas it allows her techniques and her new aged approach to create stunning results. Theodora specializes in Brazillian Blowouts,Corrective Coloring, and cutting. Meet Sara whom we warmly call “Hairy Fairy Sara”. Sara joined the industry in 1970 and was a former owner of a salon for over 40 years before joining Mane De Leon. Sara specializes in precision cutting and creative coloring, as well as, corrective color.

Some of Sara’s achievements include certifications from the following companies: Aveda, Toni and Guy, Geri Cuzensa, Schwarzcopf, Colera Color, Oligo, J’s of Beverly Hills,
and Blonde Me.

During her free time, Sara enjoys history, art, museums, theater, the beach, walking, and spending time with her family.

Sara loves the beauty industry. It holds a special place in her heart. She has experienced seeing the industry change over the years in St. Augustine, FL and Albuquerque, NM.

Anna was born and raised in Naples, Italy, From a very young age, Anna has had a fascination with the beauty industry. She attended Arthur Angelo and graduated in 1992 as a nail technician.

Dana and Anna worked together at Wavy Clipper in Comanche for 8 years. They are excited now as Anna has just the team at Mane De Leon.

Anna lives in St. Augustine with her 4 children. She can’t wait to meet you and service your nail care needs.

Despite being young ( twenty-two years old), I was taught by the best—Dana herself! I enjoy doing both hair and nails. I love this industry because every day is different and it allows me to be creative. I enjoy meeting new people and making connections.

I have lived in St. Augustine all my life and love this beautiful city. I am an active person and love trying new things. I love the outdoors, whether I am working out, playing golf, or walking my dog on the beach.
